Here’s my story in a nut shell. Let’s see if you can identify…

Sitting in my guidance counselor’s office in high school listening to him tell me that I should pursue a career as a carpenter? What! You don’t want me attempting to build you anything; I can assure you that. Also wondering why not one teacher or counselor during the four years I spent there ever mentioned starting a business as an option. I suppose you can’t advise someone to do what you’ve never done.

Surely college would be better right? Wrong. Now I’m sitting in a business class trying to learn how to run a million dollar business from a professor who is an employee of the university. My brain is screaming “What’s wrong with this picture!”

So for the next 8 years or so I do what anyone else needs to do to survive; I go and get a job that I hate working for someone else. I made it to the age of 28 before I couldn’t take it anymore and told my manager to stick it in his ear.

So at the age of 28 I am now self employed. I might also mention that my wife was due with our first child so that gave me the instant motivation needed to get serious about building my million dollar business as fast as possible.

For the next 17 years I traded dollars for hours. I made money but at a price. I also hit the lid and my business became my prison.

At age 48 everything is different. I can do what I want, when I want, where I want and with whomever I want. I now have the good fortune of spending time with my family, good friends and people just like you that are eager to learn how they can apply what I have to share to their own lives.

All you have to do is make the decision that that’s what you want, get the right mentor to guide you and then take daily consistent action until the dream you see in your mind becomes your new reality.
